What's tested in Health Risk Overview?

Lipids (Cholesterol)

Cholesterol is a form of fat we need. It helps make the outer membranes of our bodies' cells stable and people with high total cholesterol levels are more likely to get heart disease. Different forms of cholesterol ("good" and "bad") also play a role; high total cholesterol, high bad cholesterol, or low good cholesterol could raise your chances of future issues. Testing these different kinds of cholesterol and other fats in your blood (lipids) will give you a good understanding of your overall Cholesterol level.

Tests indicators included

LDL Cholesterol

These tests will help determine the health of your liver by measuring the levels of proteins, liver enzymes, and bilirubin in your blood. either higher - or lower-than-normal levels of these enzymes or proteins can indicate a problem with your liver.

Tests indicators included

Aspartate Transaminase

AST is an enzyme made is cells contained in many tissues of your body. It is found in high amounts in liver cells and is released when cells are damaged of inflamed.

Alanine Transaminase

Heart tests will assess your heart health, by checking your risk for developing heart and circulatory disease. If you've already been diagnosed with a heart condition, these tests can help monitor your condition and the effects of your medicines if you are taking any. The high-sensitivity CRP test measures low levels of CRP in the blood to identify low levels of inflammation that are associated with risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Tests indicators included

hsCRP

High sensitivity CRP is a test which can differentiate CRP concentrations at low levels. CRP (c-reactive protein) is an acute phase protein released into the blood stream by the liver during inflammation.

Kidney Check

Your kidneys play several vital roles in maintaining your health. One of their most important jobs is to filter waste materials from the blood and expel them from the body as urine. These tests show how well the kidneys are doing these jobs and how quickly body wastes are being removed.
